Bentley Axle Control.

We have recently established that if, owing to wear, excessive slack develops in the triangular links which convey the brake torque to the shock absorber arm, front brake jaggers are likely to be aggravated. Such jaggers are of course dangerous.

It is therefore necessary to make inspection of these axle controls a routine job whenever a car comes into a Depot, and worn parts should be replaced to bring these up to 100% condition. Care should also be taken to ensure that the lubrication from the bijur supply is satisfactory.
