Test report for car 49 G.B. using a Pyrol mixture, detailing performance under various conditions.

Tests carried out with 49 G.B using Pyrol mixture. The tests to prove its value for private cars. The tests were carried out in very windy and wet weather for the climbing tests. The road was dry for acceleration. Slow running tests. A speed of 5MPH was obtained with even running of engine, one notch strong on carburetter (The carburettor setting was found to be OK with one notch strong for all tests). Building up tests. A speed of 10 MPH full throttle was maintained for a distance of half a mile. A quick change to 3rd gear for acceleration showed no sign of missfires, but a considerable quantity of bluish smoke was turned out. Two (2) further tests at 8 MPH was tried with considerable missfires on acceleration. We then proceeded to Pistern Hill tests carried out is starting at 5MPH at the railings max, speed obtained. | ||
