Ev{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}4/IH.26.1.34. re: BENTLEY INSTRUMENTS - Cx.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager}E/KW.24.1.34. We do not agree that it is impossible to get the full upward range of adjustment on the column with the present instruments. We agree that it cannot be done on some, if not all, of the first fifteen cars, because no effort was made to allow for it - the Coachbuilders not having been told how to adjust the column. With the use of a plain board and moving the instruments (speedometer and tachometer) out a little we believe it is possible to allow sufficient clearance to enable the column to go to the maximum position and still retain a visibility no worse than at present.
