MARINE REVERSE GEAR.

I have just received a letter from The Parsons Engineering Co., Southampton, stating that they are not prepared to do the necessary pattern making and casting for the top and bottom halves of the gear box.
They also say they cannot produce the two stub shafts for the boxes.

They are prepared, however, to let us have detail drawings, which I have asked for.

Pressure of work at the moment is apparently why they will not do the job.
