We are doing everything possible to get standardised the parts which were fitted to the above car.

The new electrical equipment, however, depends on us being able to obtain a satisfactory dynamo to replace the Lucas. So far the Smith dynamo has not satisfied us completely. Personally, I feel that we have got to be very sure of our ground before we go into production with these new pieces. I have a feeling that when Mr. Royce is designing the electrical equipment for the Goshawk, he may arrive at more simple pieces and in some ways more desirable. If the electrical equipment is to be made as Mr. Royce desires with mouldings, die-castings and pressings the layout of tools is going to be very costly, so that it is more important than ever to be sure that the parts we make will satisfy us over a great number of cars.
