NEWCASTLE-ON-TYNE, 64-66, ST MARY'S PLACE. 27th. March 1929. WHEN REPLYING PLEASE REFER TO RLN/1. Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd. Derby. Dear Sirs, For The Attention of Mr. Clark, Experimental Dept. We understand from Messrs. The General Electric Co. that you have been ordering some special twin filament replacement bulbs for use in our P.100. Projectors. Messrs. G.E.C. have advised us on the telephone this afternoon that they have informed you that this is a special bulb made to our specifications, and as we have been experiencing a little trouble with the filaments breaking away from their supports, they had no stock with which to complete your order. We have recently obtained a further batch of bulbs in which the above weakness is alleged to be eradicated. We have not had an opportunity of testing these for ourselves, but in view of the fact that you require the bulbs urgently for the week end, we are sending you four, which is all we have available, and we trust that they will get you over your difficulty. We shall be interested to know how they perform in due course. Yours faithfully, | ||
