E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} W. Hives Esq. - 2 - 15th. May 1923 Enclosed also are copies of letters from the G.W.Rly in reference to their tests. We have found in most instances it is necessary to make alterations to the Carburetter the best results with the Associated Equipment Company being obtained by the use of a larger Jet and larger Choke. We feel sure that if you make an adjustment to the Carburetter on the Test Bench, you will find that the results obtained with PYNOL with one of your motors will be equal to PETROL. We have conducted and seen a great many tests in connection with the new fuel and in all cases the results obtained have been equal to or superior to PETROL both in Power and decrease of Consumption. We shall be pleased to let you have some more fuel to make a further test and Mr. Critchley would very much like to come down to your works and have an opportunity of carrying out or witnessing tests in your testing shop. It is quite possible that the increased power obtained by the use of PYNOL might be considered an advantage in connection with the use of the Fuel for Aeroplane Engines, we may say that in Germany the Fuel has been used for this purpose. We thank you for give us the name of Captain Amor of the United Dairies Ltd, and we shall now have pleasure in bringing the matter to the notice of that gentleman. Yours faithfully, OIL SUPPLY CORPORATION LTD. ENCLOSURE:- Complete set of Reports on "PYNOL" tests. | ||
