Messrs Rolls-Royce Ltd.,
DERBY.
For the attention of Mr.L.H.Swindall.
Dear Sir,
Your order No.1005. dated 15.7.39.
The twenty four pairs of valve springs to your drawings EB.5107 & 5108 are being sent to you by parcel post today.
We wish to draw your attention to the fact that we have not been able to comply exactly with all the details specified on your drawings.
We have worked as near as possible to the pitches specified, and this has resulted in the loads coming out slightly stronger than those which you have stated on the drawings.
We think, however, that this will be in no way detrimental, and we shall be interested to hear, in due course, how the springs have performed on test.
Yours faithfully,
The Tempered Spring Co., Ltd.
Director.
