BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} c. to BJ. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Y3806 DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}2/M17.3.28. CENTRALISED CHASSIS LUBRICATION. X.3806 X.7350 X.7360 Herewith we send N.schs. 2565 shewing a proposal for carrying oil along the spring to the rear axle by means of a coil, in a manner similar to that employed at the front. We are rather doubtful whether the proposal not to lubricate the brake gear on the axle will be a success in the case of the rear brake gear, therefore we expect some arrangement of this sort will have to be used. We suggest we should wait for comments before proceeding. Will you kindly send us an extra print for R.{Sir Henry Royce} DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
