Your Ref: Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}2/LG.

Messrs. Rolls-Royce Limited,
Expl. Department,
DERBY.

Attention: Mr. W. A.{Mr Adams} Robotham.

Dear Sirs,

We are very grateful for your complete explana-tion in respect to the proposed fitting of front wheel brakes to "Silver Ghost" Rolls-Royce chassis, and our policy is one which co-incides exactly with yours, namely, that we would not consider such an adaption unless we had the full support and co-operation of your factory.

With regard to this front wheel adaption, we are confronted with the argument that Rolls-Royce have approved the installation of the Whitehead system of front wheel braking for the "Silver Ghost" model.

However, we would point out again that we are not interested in the equipping of owner-driver cars unless this is undertaken by the makers of such cars.

We shall be interested to know if you have approved the Whithead system, and awaiting your favour.

We are,

Yours very truly,

BENDIX-PERROT BRAKES, LTD.

Herbert Clark
Managing Director.
