CHASSIS 102-MC. Major G.F.Boyle.

Hr9/GM16.3.26.

In our opinion the complaint which PN.{Mr Northey} makes as regards Major G.J.Boyle's car is an entirely different complaint to that on chassis 22-LC owned by Mr.J.Spedan Lewis.

We read PN{Mr Northey}'s complaint to mean that the road shocks felt on the steering wheel punish the driver, whereas, the complaint by Mr. Spedan Lewis, is steering stiffness. These are totally different complaints.

If a steering is stiff, the road shocks will be reduced. If on the other hand, a steering is very light, the steering will be more reversible and therefore more road shocks will be felt.

If we are right in assuming that the complaint made by PN.{Mr Northey} on Major Boyle's car is road shocks, we have no standardised cure except the new type steering. We think however that the complaint on Mr. Spedan Lewis's car which is a case of steering stiffness, can be overcome.
