SECRET. 650 FJH{Fred J. Hardy - Chief Dev. Engineer} DRIVE BOLTING OF CROSS STEERING LEVERS - WRAITH III. As there are no XB. type bolts .5" in diameter, we have had to create a bolt for attaching the cross steering lever to the forging GW.388. The bolt we have created resembles the one originally shown with the exception that we have provided a hexagon head and a deeper cylindrical collar. The machining of the forging GW.388 remains unchanged. As previously stated we agree to the deletion of the serrations as mentioned in DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}1/MN.16.4.37.
