In accordance with Mr Royce's memo re Valve Springs we have carried out tests with 3 untreated springs obtained by Mr Nadin from Salters. The springs were hardened and tempered by us and have been handed to Mr Platford for test. The treatment we have given the springs is:- Heat to 750° Cent., quench in oil, afterwards temper in oil bath to 250° Cent.
