/9058 Expl: Dept: Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn{Mr Robinson}8/LG. 7th. Nov. 1927. Messrs. Claudel Hobson Ltd., 47-55 Acton Vale, London W.3. Dear Sirs, For the attention of Mr. Davy. We should like to know whether you consider that we could dispense with the vent pipe on the telegauge when fitted to our petrol tanks which are unusually well ventilated. It would save us running a somewhat unsightly pipe along the top of our tanks. At present we use this vent pipe for blowing up the gauge when it has fallen to below zero through being disconnected. We do not know whether this is permissible, but it works. Yours faithfully, | ||
