To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from CJ. Over-Oiling. CJ8/E1/10/25

In your memo. addressed to R.{Sir Henry Royce}, Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}6/LG28/9/25
concerning over-oiling, on Phantom engine, you write:
'So far we have not seen a bad example of an engine
for over-oiling'.

I presume that you are in touch with the
Repair Dept. and EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} in connection with this matter?

We sent by train 11 RC.{R. Childs} in order that the
people at the Works might see a very bad case of
over-oiling.

Did you see this?

CJ.
