re Material for 'F.2' Series 20/25 HP. Cars.

With reference to Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}3/E.11.4.34 and Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}13/T.12.4.34, we have looked into the question of what modifications can be brought on to 'F.2' series.

As instructions for ordering material for this series must be completed by April 25th or earlier, any improvements required will not have been cleared by the 10,000 miles test car, and risks will have to be taken on them or production held up until they are released.

We are already committed to two major untested features on 'E.2' series viz. controlled dampers and the new carburetter; the testing of these features will go along in parallel with production and we do not recommend adding to the risks by incorporating any new features on 'F.2' series.

Actually there are very few features in E/Lid.{A. J. Lidsey}4/HP.23.2.34 which we can say are of appreciable benefit to the customer in their present form.

If therefore continuous production at the rate of 20 per week is to be maintained, we do not recommend that any of the new untested features, incorporated in chassis 21-G-IV should be included in the 'F.2' series cars.

We have spoken to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}about this matter and he is in agreement with the above.

E/Lid.{A. J. Lidsey}
