X3806 Expl: Dept: Ha/Cyl/LG. 8th. April 1929. Messrs. Benton & Stone Ltd., Bracebridge Street, Birmingham. Dear Sirs, For the attention of E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Milner Esq., With respect to the flexible tubing you propose to let us try. We find that we shall probably do better by taking the lead by way of the shock absorber instead of the spring. The lengths we should require initially would be 1.1"±.050 and .4"±.050" Will you please let us know in what manner the connections can be made to the ends. We should like them to be adaptable to a banjo which takes a 3/16" outside diameter pipe. Will they be fitted with a rubber cover or canvas, or both? We should prefer the latter if it is practicable. We do not anticipate nearly so much chafing at these points as on the springs. Could you please let us have two off each of these lengths. Yours faithfully, | ||
