Martindale} ROY{Sir Henry Royce}/HW.18/B.23.12.38. BENTLEY AXLE SPRINGS Will you please alter your copy of erection instruction No.187 Ch.172 M.R.:- Front Springs to be 750 lbs. instead of 800 lbs. Concerning axle springs generally, it has been agreed by Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/AFM.{Anthony F. Martindale} that when our stocks of 700 lbs. and 850 lbs. Bentley Front Springs have been exhausted, only 750 lbs. will in future be used. This is to apply to any chassis for use on the Continent, or whether a chassis is fitted with side spare wheel carrier. Will Mr. Turner please advise on what chassis the new arrangement will apply. Meanwhile BP. is asked not to specify any further 800 lbs. front springs as these have already been used up. ROY.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
