Dear Sirs, In reply to your letter of the 4th July, we are arranging to put in hand a Pattern for a Master Cylinder in Light Alloy, similar to our 11680/2 Integral Tank Type, and do not propose to make any change in the Bolt Holes: it will, therefore, not be necessary to alter your Mounting Brackets. We are hoping to have this Pattern finished some time next week, and will forward it to you so that you may obtain Castings in Light Alloy. RR & co. So far as our experiments are concerned, we are not entirely satisfied that this part will be satisfactory in Aluminium Alloys, but are quite prepared for you to carry out tests which will, undoubtedly, add to our present information. With regard to the Myth Brakes, we have made up and fitted to cars two sets of the normal 9" 2-Leading Shoe Brakes, with satisfactory results. We have also had made up a special Spider proposed for the Myth, but have not yet had an opportunity of testing this on the Dynamometer. In view of the fact that you wish to place an order for two sets of Brakes, we will push forward with these tests with all possible speed. P.T.O.
