RE 20 H.P. WHEELCASE & GEARS X.3551.

We send you herewith drawing No. LeC.1088. We have shewn fabric couplings for the magneto drive .175" thick. We should be glad if you would expand the design when detailing, so as to use fabric couplings .250" thick.

The serrations for the camshaft drive are similar in design to those shewn on drawing LeC.733 and should be marked for engagement in a similar manner. The method of seeing these marks when erected, will be dealt with on a later scheme.

One reamed bolt hole is required in the wheelcase to act in combination with the wheelcase spigot for providing an accurate location, so that the outboard bearing for the intermediate wheel will come into line with the corresponding centre on the crankcase.

The magbeto is provided with a packing piece, the function of which is to form an adjustment vertically for the centre of the magneto if it is found necessary, and also for assisting in the lining up of the magneto drive.

After the magneto packing has been fitted to the dowel pins which are screwed into the magneto itself, and the magneto has been correctly placed and clamped on the wheelcase, the holes for the wheelcase dowels should be marked off on the packing, by means of a little scribing tool inserted from below, through the parallel holes already drilled in the wheelcase.
