Origin. To prevent clicking in the s.s. tube when turning on left lock. Experimental Test Report. This clicking is only experienced when the ball ends are well lubricated due to the vacuum created when the ball leaves the rear pad. Road Test Report. The modification has been tried on the road and overcomes the trouble. Will have completed 5000 miles before first chassis comes on test. Fitted to 10-G-III.
