STANDARDISATION of CHASSIS PARTS
Date 21.6.27

Description of Parts: SPRING LOADED FRONT END SIDE STEERING TUBE.

Origin: To assist in preventing low speed wobbles and obviate ball end rattles.

Experimental Test Report:
This joint is identical with that fitted to the spring loaded cross steering tube which has recently completed 10,000 miles in France on car 10-G-111.

Road Test Report:
This promotes slightly more friction in the system which is required to obviate low speed wobbles. It has been run on the road and will have completed some thousands of miles before it actually gets to chassis on test.
