Coil made up without the ends of the iron core bent over i.e with less iron in the magnetic circuit.
This coil designated L.I has been made up by Mr. Brock for experiment on the life of the battery ignition contacts. Apparently there is also an advantage in assembling coils in this manner on production.
The coil we have in the lab has been tested on the bench for the purpose of ascertaining the various electrical quantities which are as follows:-
