TO HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} FROM DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} ORIGINAL DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}1/M2.7.27. STEERING COLUMN VIBRATIONS ON 10-EX. Handwritten: XSU30 X684 Handwritten: X8774 It appears to us that a further stiffening of the column itself would be the thing that would do most good on this problem. Could you try a column 2 1/2" in dia: the standard is 2", and we have recently given you one 2.250" in connection with the friction and spring control on the column. We suggest that you might like to try 2 1/2". From the verbal report you gave us it seemed that it must be the tubular column itself that is bending. Handwritten: Copies #HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} 2 1/2" for Std a/s DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} = parallel with 2 1/4. INTOEX. | ||
