For the attention of Mr. Fraser.

Dear Sir,

During your holiday the writer contacted with Mr. Challoner and ordered 3 pairs of expander and adjuster units to our N.Sch.5178, which we understand will be delivered in 3 weeks time.

We understand that our order office are sending an open order for this material.

When you have finished examining our print of N.Sch. 5178, will you please return it, with your criticisms.

Very probably we will standardise the pieces ordered, on Bentley, and if so we should like to make the aluminium die casting which is the expander casing, since you have no foundry. We presume we shall send the casting to you for assembly.

Trusting this latter proposal is agreeable to you.

We are

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
