Complaint of 'booming' on Chassis No.123-GY and arranging for its repair.

There has been a complaint from Cx.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager} that this car is poor from the point of view of booms, and it has been agreed by Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} that we attend to the car on lines similar to those which have applied in two or three other instances. We attach hereto for By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} Sft.{Mr Swift} & D/BP copies of memos Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Les12/KT4.5.31 and Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Lesl/KT28.5.31 which are self-explanatory - attached to the former we were sent blue prints HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}345. HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}336, F83615 and D73306. The position now is that Rippons car will shortly be coming to the Works for attention to this complaint and we want to be able to deal with it on the lines indicated in the Experimental Dept's memos above referred to and as agreed to by Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} Can you please arrange for a set of the necessary parts to be prepared in readiness for fitting, and as there may be other cars coming to the Works for similar complaint, possibly a few sets of parts should be put in hand - you will however doubtless decide about this. We have to write to Rippons letting them know when to send the car in - therefore we want to know when a set of the necessary pieces will be ready for dealing with their car. Will D/BP please issue instructions Order No.54048 covering our work in connection with the complaint of booming on this car.
