x1775 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson} 6/KT. February 22nd 1933. M.A. McEvoy Esq., Leaper Street Works, Derby. Dear McEvoy, Herewith you application for membership which I have duly signed. We have been playing with superchargers for motor cars, but we have not succeeded in producing anything good enough for the Rolls-Royce car. Having done a certain amount of work on them yourself, you will be fully aware of the difficulties which arise and, where the object in view is not racing or evading the H.P. tax, it is very difficult to justify their incorporation. However as time goes on we shall probably change our views. Yours sincerely, | ||
