Sidgreaves - MD} WOR. {Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} E. {Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} DA. {Bernard Day - Chassis Design} SHOCK DAMPERS. With reference to your telephone message about distortion of the damper shaft when the bolt is tightened we think that the best way to get over this difficulty is to have to shaft solid under the lever boss by drilling from each end, as shewn on N.sch. 3661 herewith. If the appearance of the open end hole is objected to it can be closed with a sheet metal disc, but we do not think that this is necessary. HDY. {William Hardy} | ||
