CAR. V5770 We are proposing to change the 20 HP. car 8-G-111 which is at WW. for 9-G-111 car of a similar type which is fitted with more modern features. We would have liked this car to have been at WW. when you arrived, but we held it up in order to get the hydraulic dampers fitted all round. The special features fitted to the 20 HP. car (9-G-111) are as follows :- (1) Hydraulic dampers front and rear. (2) Latest type steering with outside pendulum lever. (3) Modified front axle - stiffened type - plain bushes top and bottom of pivot. (4) Loose bushes in connecting rod. (5) Steel shell to main bearings. (6) Mechanics Joints on propeller shaft. (7) Semi balloon tyres + well base rims. (8) Higher compression pistons - 5.2 ratio instead of 4.8. (9) Modified exhaust manifold. (10) Silencer with cutout. (11) Ferodo material with non-squeaking properties. (12) Modified carburetter with aluminium air valve. We attach power curves shewing the advantages we gain by the increased compression and the modified exhaust manifold. The modified manifold does give us a definite increase especially when the cutout is open. contd :- | ||
