Dear Paul,

So glad to hear from Kingsbury that your Father has at last got a more up-to-date Bentley. Rumour has it that you are contemplating swapping your Lagonda for one of our products. In this case, you might be able to get the accelerometer to Derby without shaking it to pieces.

Could you, therefore, please make some discreet enquiries from Mason as to whether they are every going to get it right or whether they are hoping to cut their losses and forget about it. It will be rather difficult to write such a question direct to the Instrument Company, and I thought you might be able to find out by 'back door' means.

Hoping your piston ring tests are going well,

Yours sincerely,
