To W. from BJ. BJ19/H13.8.24 (Cont'd.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary}) Possibly, also, this official could take certain parts, to make alterations to cars, in order to try the effect of such alterations. For instance, the effect of a louvred against a closed bonnet might be tried; the effect of running with the number plate and lamps in front of the radiator and then removing them might be tried; and several other points which no doubt will occur to you. It is no use deferring such tests as the summer season will soon be over and we want to make these tests while the weather is still warm. Therefore every day is of importance. Please let us know when the official can start, and which official you suggest can make the tests. It is possible that arrangements could be made also to test Mr. Ubertalli's car if it has not left Italy. Please see Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}15/BM12.8.24. We do not know when this car is likely to leave Italy, but we of course should not like it to be delayed in order to make these tests, as it is going to the Works. Possibly if Mr. Ubertalli's car is returned to us early, the car could be returned in time for the same official to test the car in Italy after the Works have finished the alterations. In any case it would seem desirable for us to offer to our agent, Mr. P.B. Nicholls, for our official to visit him and test any cars that may be giving trouble in his district in Italy. When we hear from you on what date the official will be leaving, we will go further into the matter. B.J. Encl: Letter from Mon. M.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore} Reverdin, August 9th. 1924. | ||
