Proposal to alter the starter motor's main winding to improve clearance for the teaser coils.

Referring to EFC5/T28. 4. 25., and building a third Motor, we are aware that to put in 17 S.W.G. Wire in the Teaser coils makes the whole job very tight and therefore we propose to alter the section of the main winding to allow a reasonable clearance. 2 prints of D.70948 sent herewith, if you will order the necessary wire, we will issue a new Field Winding drawing shewing the smaller pole, new size wires, and windings arranged with the Teaser on the pole tips and the main nearer the carcase. This should then represent the best arrangement we know of and be a production job. BY/RD. | ||
