BRAKES. /9940

We have tested the floating fulcrum front brakes with the jointed shoes. We find that it undoubtedly increases the efficiency of the brakes.
The brakes, however, feel very spongy, and the pedal comes on to the floorboards.

We are now going back to the original leverage for the brakes.

Our tests so far shew that the jointed shoe is a definite gain as regards effective brakes.
The endurance test on the dynamometer which has been made shows that the wear is as even as we get on the present standard brakes.
