1-WJ.

I am in receipt of your PN{Mr Northey}3/T18.12.29.

The reason why we have not been able to let you have particulars of what was wrong with this axle, is because at present we do not know.

We are however, investigating the trouble, and we shall be very pleased to let you have particulars when we have found out.

We also agree that it is most undesirable to be confined to one oil, i.e. Whitmore's compound, but for some considerable time we have been working to find at least two other Oils which can be used with safety. At the present time Wakefield's and Price's are making up a compound for us to test.

Therefore you can feel happy that we are working to find other oils for our Rear Axle.
