-2- (2) Out of these combinations which has been found to give the best results in America.? (3) Assuming we find a satisfactory valve out of the samples sent, can this material be obtained in this country.? (4) What kind of price would they charge, say for 1000 or 5000 valves made in Sil.XCR. with stellited seats in the finished form as have been supplied to us.? (5) What advantage have the various American Silichromes over our Silichrome which has the following analysis.? Carbon .4 - .5% Manganese .4 - .60% Silicon 3.25 - 3.75% Sulphur (not more) .03% Phosphorous (not more) .03% Chromium 7.5 - 8.5% Nickel (not more) .5% We have tried to stellite our Silichrome with little or no success and would like to know what their opinion is in this respect.
