To Wd.{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead} from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} [Handwritten: V3854] Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/RmL/LG8. 4. 26. WOODHEAD SPRINGS. [Handwritten: V3854, X8410] Will you please ask Messrs. Woodhead to make for us a pair of front springs to the following specification :- Initial camber 4.65" positive. Deflection under 1250 lbs. load. 4.65" " Normal camber Flat. Maximum bump 2.25 negative camber. We are quite aware that unless these springs are made with an abnormal number of leaves the stress on max. bump will necessarily be very high. They will however be used purely for experimental purposes and not be subjected to any endurance or severe tests. We should therefore be obliged if Woodheads would do the best they know how to fulfil these conditions. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
