Wd{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead}/DN. from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to Mt. 43854 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}5/LG16.4.26. WOODHEAD SPRINGS. We are sending into the Stores - 7 Woodhead springs of the latest type fitted with rebound leaves which have failed on the bumping rig. It has been arranged that these should go back to Messrs. Woodhead to have the broken leaves replaced. We should like you to point out to Messrs. Wood-head that the 2 latest springs of this type which we have tested, the top leaves failed after approximately 9 hrs. We found the brinell of these top leaves to be quite low - 321. We should like to have their remarks in this connection. Will Wd.{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead} please issue instructions to the Stores for the despatch of these Springs. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
