X4117 Chassis. Expl. Dept. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}4/MJ. 2nd. December 1932. Kaye Don Esq., Dorland House, 14, Regent Street, LONDON.S.W.1. Dear Mr. Kaye Don, I apologize for not replying to your letter before, but I have been away. I fully appreciate your criticism of the steering - it is a problem we are working on. It may be that early in the New Year we may have something to help you. In the meantime I believe your car is alright for use under English conditions, but your chief complaint is when running on the Continent. If you could let us know whether some time in the New Year you could spare your car for a week, we could try and do something to it. As regards the compression ratio. The engine in your car is fitted with a modified cylinder head which gives a higher compression ratio. Yours faithfully, For Rolls-Royce Ltd. | ||
