X4586 Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} BY5/H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} 24. 2. 25. Sales have been at me for a week for us to send a set of steel wheels suitable for front wheel brakes to London. I attach hereto copy of BJ2/H.23.2.25. which is the last memo on the subject. I am strongly of the opinion that we should at least make a few trial runs in the neighbourhood with the wheels in question, and make sure that so far as we are concerned, there is no obvious fault, for instance, that they will not increase the tendency to wobble and similar points. After that, it seems to me it would be policy to send them to Sales, but not until. The settlement of this issue is of the utmost urgency. I have written the Dunlop Company myself telling them to put tools in hand. I am urging Sales to agree to ordering the wheels, and it is the manner in which I am pressing the issue on Sales which has determined Sales to ask us for the wheels for them to try. By BY.{R.W.
