EY/NS{Norman Scott} c. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 402 DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}11/G.12.10.38. BENTLEY 111. CHASSIS. FULLY FLOATING REAR AXLE. Please receive herewith blueprints of G.CD.942 showing the Rear Axle Tubes for the above chassis. The tubes drawn are identical with those for Bentley 11.A. except for the flange dimensions and a little extra length in the parallel portion of the tube, and it is thought that most of the existing forging and machining tools will be used to make the new tubes. The axle shafts are unaltered from 1st.B111 except that the position of the oil seal on the L.H. shaft has been modified. The end covers are modified to sult the new taper in the tubes.
