- 3 - Hd{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy}/SB{Mr Bull/Mr Bannister}6/HR.3.7.37. Continued:- 4 1/4 LITRE MAIN BEARINGS. 10. The only trouble has been sinkage of the bearings causing roughness or a thump. Approximately 25 cars have had to be attended to, including those in France which have been done as a matter of routine. 11. We estimate that the cost to the Company for removing the crankshaft, drilling an extra hole in each crankpin, grooving the intermediate bearings, fitting a large capacity oil pump and a set of Hall's Metal big ends, would be approximately £30.
