+8240 To BJ. from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to CWB. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}7/LG9.10.25. NEW PHANTOMCodename for PHANTOM I CONTROLS. +8240 +8260 BJ2/H9.10.25 - copies of CWB23 - CWB24LH{Mr Haworth}/7.10.25 attached. The difficulty with closing the bonnet when the mixture is in the full strong position has been realised. When the original EAC. engine was got out it was intended to use a wider bonnet. It was afterwards decided to put it on the standard 40/50 HP. On 'W' series the wider dashboard and bonnet is being fitted. This fault does not then occur. Shutter control lever. This suggestion of alteration to the controls so that each notch has approximately the same value was suggested to R.{Sir Henry Royce} on the first Phantom cars. Our own opinion is that it is not worth while considering changing design to carry this out, but, if at any time the shutter control was re-designed, this point could be given consideration.
