Fouling of brake ropes on a cross member in a 25 HP vehicle.

25 HP. brake ropes foul cross member appreciably in the normal riding position and start pulling the brakes on in the maximum bump position.

Countershaft A has been raised to avoid fouling the propeller shaft. Actually on maximum bump there is 1" between this shaft and the propeller shaft so that perhaps it has been raised unnecessarily. Cross member B is very much down-swept at the ends which increases the tendency to foul.
