X8783b To Hm.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} from EFC. EFC2/T10.11.26. RE CUSTOMERS P & R BATTERY. Herewith we attach copies of correspondence in connection with a P & R battery which was taken from a customer's car in your Dept. and replaced with an Exide. (Refer to your Mr. Traynor. We are sorry we cannot give you the No. and name of owner). You will find the correspondence self-explantory and we trust after perusal you will arrange matters in a suitable way. Also, so that we may adjust the matter with Messrs. P & R, we should like to know - (1) Whether we have committed ourselves with the customer to supply him with a new battery or his own repaired free of charge. (2) If the answer to (1) is in the negative, whether you consider whether we should accept Messrs. P & R's offer to repair free of charge, or whether we should allow them to charge and pass the charge on to the customer. (3) Your instructions to P & R with regard to the replacement of this battery. EFC. | ||
