Re: Starter Carburetter on 20 HP & Phantom I chassis.

With reference to the extract of letter given in D/BP21/OG8.11.29, kindly note that a further letter has been received from this client on the subject of attaching a warning light in connection with the use of the starter carburetter; extract of this letter is given below :-

"I see no reason why the existing warning lamp should not be used in connection with the starting carburetter as well as the thermometer.
This would save altering your instrument board and also a certain amount of new wiring - it would only necessitate a new switch and connecting wires to lamp.
There would be no confusion on the part of the driver as the red light would simply signify that something required attention, i.e. the starting carburetter only at the beginning of the run, when the engine was cold and the radiator shutters only when the engine was hot later on.
I certainly think it would be of value to the driver, or owner, to make the stg. carburetter foolproof as far as humanly possible."

If anything is eventually done in connection with such a scheme it might perhaps be policy to offer to fit it on this customer's car.
