Since carrying out the R.10 engine clean and fitting an 'L' shaped ring to each piston, the car has covered 850 Kms. at moderate and high speeds. The owner has informed us that he has not added any oil to the engine since we re-delivered the car to him on the 23rd ultimo.

We have now measured the amount of oil in the engine and find that only 1/2 litre of oil has been consumed, which is extremely good.
