We note that the exhaust manifold studs in the cylinder head on the Phantom III are in S/N. although those on the 25/30 and Bentley are now in KE.965. This note confirms a conversation with you in which you have agreed to alter the Phantom III studs to KE.965 as trouble has been experienced in the past with exhaust manifold studs breaking. We feel that we should not take any risk on the Phantom III, although the cylinder head is in aluminium and the manifold stiffer and less liable to distortion than those on the 25/30 and Bentley. We should be pleased if you would arrange for these studs to come on to production as soon as possible. Detail drawing EB.268 of the studs is attached. E/PSN. Att:EB.268. | ||
