| PRESENT POSITION OF DYNAMOS AND MOTORS OF VARIOUS MAKES FOR "GOSHAWK II". Make: Brolt. Dynamo: Messrs. Brolt have submitted prints of performances of standard machines which are at present awaiting Da{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}'s consideration as to mechanical suitability and are having our consideration as to electrical suitability. Starter Motor: Make: Lucas. Dynamo: This is now awaiting Messrs.Lucas completely, all points having been settled. Starter Motor: All outstanding points have been settled and except that Lucas' are awaiting certain parts from us which are practically on the point of being despatched, this item is also awaiting Messrs. Lucas. Make: Rotax. Dynamo: Messrs.Rotax are proceeding with this machine and presumably endeavouring to make it meet our specification electrically. It is up to them completely. Starter Motor: The question of the Rotax motor awaits a reply to our EFC4/T7.6.21 (See EFC1/T15.7.21 addressed to E). Make: Smith. Dynamo: Completely up to Messrs. Smith who are proceeding and have promised to submit curves of performance. Starter Motor: Position exactly similar to that of Lucas motor. Make: C.A.V. Dynamo: Messrs. C.A.V. have all particulars and the matter awaits them completely. Starter Motor: Position exactly similar to that of Lucas motor. Make: R.R. Dynamo: Awaiting By's instructions to Expl. Shop, but By is still awaiting certain details from West WitteringHenry Royce's home town. Starter Motor: Awaiting By's instructions to Expl. Shop. But both machines awaiting results of inspection of dummy armatures which are instructed and in progress. | ||
