AUTOMATIC IGNITION ADVANCE ON BENSPORT ENGINES.

In preparing the production specification for the Bensport ignition governor we find the angular advance on the cam spindle of production governors to be 12º whereas the drawing office instructions only call for 9½º.

We propose holding up the specification until the governors have been altered and we should be glad if you will arrange to look into this matter and instruct for the governors to be altered to the correct 9½º movement.

If you will arrange to send us three governors with the correct movement we will test the same and prepare production test limits for the advance - speed characteristics immediately.

In the mean time it is important that no governors be passed through with more than 9½º movement.
