Confirming the various points gone over during the visit of your representatives Messrs. Kirby and Allen :- Old type IS.12 magnetos Nos.83134/5/6/7. These are still with us with non up-to-date distributors. It is understood that you are in communication with Farnborough regarding the steps to be taken with these four machines. Modified magnetos type SP.{Mr Spinney}12-2 Nos.83119/20, 83132/3. We are now in possession of three of these Nos.83119/20 and 83132 which were brought up by your representatives, and we understand that the remaining one No.83133 has been sent to Farnborough. It is understood that these will be the subject of further tests on engines when opportunity arises. Magnetos type SP.{Mr Spinney}12-2 Nos.98033/4. This is the pair which ran 53 hours on our F.14 type test satisfactorily and have recently been returned to you for the modifications referred to in our EFC3/AD. of Nov.11th. It was agreed that this pair of machines should take advantage of the next opportunity of running on an engine on type test. | ||
